'''Clutton Station''' was opened on 3rd September 1873 by the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_and_North_Somerset_Railway Bristol & North Somerset Railway]. Closed to passengers on 2nd November 1959 and goods on 15th June 1964.

The station site is currently (2005) in use by A.R.M. Contractors Ltd who are specialists in railway demolition, dismantling and construction. Amongst other things they supply sleepers to preserved railways. I'd like to thank the owner of A.R.M., Garry Turner, for his help and friendly enthusiasm during my visit. I can thoroughly recommend his company to anyone in the preservation movement who is looking for supplies. Email me for a phone number.
An excerpt taken from the [[w:Western Daily Press]] of 4th September 1873: ''
As all the stations on the line are similar in construction, if not equal in size, we may here mention that they are neat buildings, sufficiently commodious for the traffic of the line, and presenting a solid and substantial appearance. They are not aesthetic, but Mr Ruskin, we know, detests beautiful railway stations as misplaced, and perhaps the directors are of his way of thinking, and prefer utility to splendour.
This template creates a link to a list of map sources. It is the same as [[Template:coor]] but uses a UK [[British national grid reference system|Ordnance Survey grid reference]] as the coordinates.

=== Warning ===
This is an experimental facility. By all means use it, but to avoid problems when things change:
* definitely do not create any links to the external URL which this template calls
* do not use this template directly in any article
* instead use one of the templates which use this one. Or create a new template.

== Usage ==
Use:
:'''<nowiki>{{oscoor|cc|tt}}</nowiki>'''

Where:
* '''cc''' is the grid reference in one of the formats listed below followed, optionally, by any [[Wikipedia:WikiProject_Geographical_coordinates#Parameters|additional parameters]]. For example: TQ123456_region:GB_scale:25000
* '''tt''' is the text to appear in the link.

Grid reference formats - letters are not case-sensitive:
{| cellspacing=0 border=1 cellpadding=2
| &nbsp; || [[British national grid reference system|Great Britain]]
|-
| SE || rowspan=5 | Standard grid references.<br>In each of these cases, the actual coordinates passed to the map sources page will be the centre of the square that the grid ref defines
Opened on 3rd September 1873.

Photos taken during a downpour in July 2005. A HUGE thankyou to Nigel Callaghan for sending me copies of these pics after I lost them during a computer hardrive failure. His help is much appreciated. :)
