History
The first Yate station was opened on the 8th July 1844 and closed on the 4th January 1965. The station was reopened in it's current split platform version on the 11th May 1989.

Standing on the road bridge looking at Platform 2. This was built on the site of Yate goods yard. The junction served a branch to Thornbury which is currently truncated to Tytherington Quarry.

Behind the platform are these electrical cabinets and an old buffer stop. There's also a retaining wall here from previous railway use.
