History
Opened on 1st July 1903. Closed to both passengers and goods on 3rd April 1961.

The view down the station approach road. The area has become a small trading estate, but the original gateposts are still standing. -
The gatepost reads 'James Vulcan Foundry 1902'. -
The trading estate. Nothing left to show that a busy station was once here. -
Looking across the rails and it looks like parts of the Up platform are still visible, although in a very unstable condition. -
A Voyager blasts past at 85mph. -
