History
Clutton Station was opened on 3rd September 1873 by the Bristol & North Somerset Railway. Closed to passengers on 2nd November 1959 and goods on 15th June 1964.
The station site is currently (2005) in use by A.R.M. Contractors Ltd who are specialists in railway demolition, dismantling and construction. Amongst other things they supply sleepers to preserved railways. I'd like to thank the owner of A.R.M., Garry Turner, for his help and friendly enthusiasm during my visit. I can thoroughly recommend his company to anyone in the preservation movement who is looking for supplies. Email me for a phone number.
