To Bristol or Wales: Stoke Gifford
To Yate or London: Old Gloucester Road
2003
-
Looking west with a Adelante setting off from Bristol Parkway.
-
A closer look at the bridge itself. As you can probably tell, it was chucking it down on the day I took the 2003 photos.
-
Looking east from the bridge. The Adelante is the same one as in the above photo. The bridge in the far distance is the one at Dragon Road.
-
Another 2003 view east. The headlight in the distance is a Class 66 on a coal train. You can see for miles here. The bridges in the foreground are Winterbourne Viaduct, Old Gloucester Road, and the M4, while in the background you can see as far as the bridge at Harcombe Hill at Winterbourne. The track is dead straight for two miles.
-
A train bound for the coal-loader at St Andrews Road passes through hauled by 66254.
-
The train passes by and heads through Bristol Parkway.
-
Looking along the bridge in 2003. The far end is being used as a rubbish dump by someone.
2005
-
Looking towards Bristol Parkway. The bridge in this shot is the one at Stoke Gifford.
-
158965 heads for Swindon.
-
A 2005 view east. You can see two green signals in this photo. The track sections seem to be quite close together.
-
The rubbish pile on the bridge is even higher. Someone is desperate to stop people from walking past their property.
-
To the extent that they've taken to blocking access to the bridge with a van.
