History
Opened on the 2nd March 1893. Closed to passengers on the 2nd December 1963. Closed to goods on the 1st July 1964. The corrugated lamp shed that once stood in the yard at this station can now be seen at Crowcombe on the West Somerset Railway.

A view along the track, taken from Station Road, of the site of Flax Bourton Station. In the distance is the footbridge where I took most of the pics on the Flax Bourton Footbridge page, and beyond that is Flax Bourton Tunnel.

As good a close up as I could get from the bridge I am standing on. There's obviously a lot of work going on here at the moment. It may be that the station is finally going to disappear.

The station building. I was surprised to see that this is open to the elements. I expected it to be boarded up.
