Westerleigh Marshalling Yard opened.

24th. Girders for connecting the flyover south of Yate put in place.

14th. Congresbury station becomes a junction for the Wrington Vale Light Railway. A second platform and a loop line were added.

The Weston-super-Mare and District Electric Supply Company opened a small electricity generating station on Locking Road.
