History
The whole viaduct is 145 yards in length and the metal girder section was constructed by Smedley Brothers of Belper in 1873.

Approaching the bridge from the south. I took this quick snapshot while waiting at traffic lights. For a quick point and shoot it amply shows the busy atmosphere of the area. Montpelier station is off a turning on the right.
