Redcliffe Tunnel

A favourite spot of my youth, we would dare each other to walk through the pitch black tunnel (which was unsealed) while telling each other that the tramps that lived inside would jump out and eat us up for their dinner... The area in front of the tunnel was used for storing sand from the nearbye Sand & Gravel works and we would climb onto the walls on Guinea Street and fling ourselves off into the stuff. We would do this repeatedly despite sand not actually being the softest surface to land on...
