History
Opened on 18th April 1867, although the tidal portion of the Pier itself wasn't ready until June 1868, with the low water portion being opened on 18th April 1870. After a buyout by the GWR, steamer services from the pier ceased on 1st October 1886.

Looking out towards the River Severn with the Second Severn Crossing just about visible in the distance while the station building is almost visible top left. The developers have celebrated the past with some nice stonework set into the ground.

The view into Portishead. Rails have been left in place at this spot. The whole area is a credit to the developers.
