A general view of the environs of Lawrence Hill station as viewed from the bridge. On the left the stretch of land is where the main lines used to run while the line at the right is the spur to the Bristol City Council Refuse Transfer Station. This was once the branch to Avon Wharf.

158826 trundles into Lawrence Hill station. The handrail in this shot shows how difficult it is to get good photos at this location, all the rest being taken by me holding the camera at arms length above my head and simply hoping for the best.

The view north. The next bridge along the line in this direction is on Easton Road.

Looking along the remains of the Midland Railway main line towards Mangotsfield. With stops at Whitehall, Fishponds, Staple Hill and Mangotsfield and a new station at Emersons Green a railway along this route would simply coin it in if some idiot hadn't ripped it apart.
