History
The footbridge at this location is known as Bartlett's Bridge.

An undated picture of the south end of Malago Sidings. Looks like two Peaks were in the process of running around some stock. I've no idea of the date, but it's before MAS signalling replaced the semaphores.

The 15.06 Temple Meads - Weston Super Mare service was diagrammed to a Class 37 at this time as the next working was the 15.50 Weston - Swansea service. However on this day 47083 Orion was in charge of the train seen passing Malago Vale Carriage Sidings, 3/2/81 © Kevin Redwood

A similar view in November 2003. The sidings had gone and new housing was being built on the site.
-
Another view of the new housing. An old buffer stop is on the formation of the old down slow.

A close up of the steps.

A view along the bridge towards Bartlett's Road.

A view from the bridge towards Parson Street station and Bedminster Down Road bridge beyond.

A couple of Voyagers head for Temple Meads.

The footbridge had been considerably shortened in order to fit in with the housing estate, and the staircase was a temporary one made from scaffolding.
2007
-
4 years later the 'temporary' nature of the footbridge was still to be addressed.
-
The housing estate was finished. The buffer stop was still in place.
-
Anti-vandal caging had been added to the bridge, which had also received a rough coat of paint.

The completed footbridge.

The 2018 version of the bridge has been repainted and looks very smart indeed.
