History
Opened on 1st November 1876. Temporary closed as a wartime measure on 1st January 1917, reopening to goods on 12th November 1917 and passengers on 1st February 1918. The station became a halt and unstaffed on 10th November 1952. Closed to goods on 7th February 1955 and passengers on 5th January 1959. The station was subsequently demolished and the platform used for loading stone from the adjacent Dayhouse (also known as Tidenham) quarry. The last train to use the quarry ran in September 1992.
