Western Pride shunts the depot. The loco was originally the Port of Bristol Authority's No 30. It was built by Hudswell Clarke & co in 1959. I believe it's been preserved by those wonderful folks at Bitton, although it's not stored on that site. © Andy Mitchell

The entrance to the site of the Western Fuel Company Coal Concentration Depot on Wapping Road. The site was in use as a pay and display car park, and the Western Fuel Co. office block boarded up and derelict.
-
The back of the office building with housing along Wapping Road in the background.
-
A general view of the site of the coal depot. This was the view west.
-
A corner of the yard showing the Princes Wharf sign on the back of the Industrial Museum. The building in the triangle of land between Princes Wharf and the coal depot was the old Customs house. At the time of the photo it was in use by a security firm.
-
A view east.
-
Some hefty concrete barriers protect the west end of the yard.
-
This was the entrance/exit for rail traffic to the coal depot.
-
Some ancillary buildings at the west end of the depot.
-
More buildings, this time complete with loading bays.
-
The Western Fuel Co. logo still cast a shadow over the yard.
-
Rails were still embedded in various parts of the yard, these sidings being the easiest to get a clear shot of.
